We will start out on this trip looking for spring waterfowl such as American Wigeon, Green and Blue-winged Teal, Gadwall, Northern Shoveler, Northern Pintail, Wood Duck, Ring-necked Duck, Hooded Merganser, and Pied-billed Grebe. Other possibilities include Virginia Rail, American Bittern, Palm Warbler, and Rusty Blackbird.
Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the VFNHP main entrance, at the intersection of Riverview and Van Vranken Roads in Clifton Park.

Sure. Just wanted to temper people's expectations and correct the potential
misconception that this is another public hearing with an opportunity for
comments; I suspect it's actually going to be pretty dry legal stuff. But
it doesn't hurt for the public to demonstrate its interest in these matters
even if it's just by attending these events as observers.

thanks susan.
after finding the white-fronted, I took the drive around the loop. there
were something like 2500 canadas out on the sod farm. A lone white-morph
snow goose was in the middle of that huge group.

The goose is currently on the west side of the pond. There are at least 700
geese here after a huge flock flew in. Also several gadwalls wigeons,

I know that a Fox Sparrow was already seen and reported to you all almost 2 weeks ago by one of you, but I wanted to let you all know that I have had one in my yard here in Colonie this morning multiple times. So, they are around! Keep your eyes open!
The photo is far from ideal. I had a hard time focusing my camera through the chain link fence.

From Mansion Street in the village of Coxsackie, go south on New York State Route 385 (Washington Avenue), approximately 2.5 miles to a left turn onto Four Mile Point Road. Proceed to the bottom of the hill – the parking area is straight ahead where the road takes a 90-degree bend to the right.
