Today was the best day this year so far for migrants at Fort Mason, including at least 14 WESTERN TANAGERS (including a number of males in full alternate plumage), an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER, at least one WESTERN WOOD-PEWEE, a WESTERN KINGBIRD, a WARBLING VIREO, a SWAINSON'S THRUSH, 7 HOODED ORIOLES, 2 BULLOCK'S ORIOLES, 2 BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS,1 LAZULI BUNTING and six species of warblers, including 3 WILSON'S WARBLERS, a HERMIT WARBLER, a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER, 4 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, 4 YELLOW WARBLERS and 3 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS. The fog immediately to the west probably helped funnel migrants through Fort Mason.
