Subject: Burcham Saturday& Hanrey Finch Reserv
It was a beautiful crisp morning along the Kaw.. A peak day for Baltimore Orioles (55), Warbling Vireos 15,, & Great-crested Flycatchers (11). But few of the mid- & late-migrants have comr in.

Philadelphia Vireo - 1 Fos

Fish Crow - 2
Red-shouldered Hawk 2
Red-tailed hawk-2
Swainson's Thrush -2
Gray Catbird -2
Indigo Bunting-1
Red-eyed Vireo-2
Yellow-throated Vireo - 1
Red-head Woodpecker - 7 One looking handsome in morning sunlight
Cedar Waxmings-10 also looking beautiful in the sun
Scarlet Tanger 1
Summer Tanager - 2
Orchard Oriole - 1
Pileated WP -1 Flew in close

Were few other warbler candidates
Yellow Warbler 4
Blackpoll 1

Fitch Reserve - got there after 10 & it was slow - no Yellow Warblers & no Parulas & few other warbler candidates; usually there are an abundance Eastern Towhees by now and I did not hear 1

Magnolia Warbler - 1 & possibly 2 FOS
Yellow-billed Cuckoo- 8 FOS - mostly calls & 1 singing
Red-shouldered Hawk - 7 - 3 pairs
Barred Owl - 1 calling
Pileated WP - drumming
Summer Tanger 2
Red-eyed Vireo 10
Yellow-throated Vireo - 3
Swainson's Thrush - 7
Indigo Buntings - 5

Listed 46 species for Burcham & 52 overall

Saw 2 Mississippi Kites yesterday evening flying high apparently in migration while sitting outside at a friend's home at north Kasold in Lawrence
