18 new for the big year! Something like that. With 8 county birds! Yea! Only three
Long distance migrants. Yr warbler, Tennessee, blackpoll. A lot of other species
Could be migrants. And breeders. I don't know the area well enough. RB Grosbeak
For example. Willow fly is back. YT Vireos everywhere. I finally got a Cliff Swallow
For the county, etc. It was a pleasure watching species gather nesting material.
They are hard at it! Blue gray gnatcatchers are on nest. Killdeer have cute young
Running around! Etc. I had to contend with fog early on. Annoying and cold! Bird
Activity picked up when the fog lifted. Open areas were my favorite. I am not good
In tall tree areas. The spring valley west path is nice. The Caesar creek marina is
Good, etc. I should have hit Clinton shorebird spots - stuff is around! I am following
Larry around! Anyway, no, I hit spring valley again in the afternoon. For odes! They are
Flying! I am excited! In fact, I'll be chasing an Ohio ode Sunday afternoon.
Good birding all. Warren is up to 182 for life. And 129 for the year.
Oh - Marsh wren at spring valley. And a flyover broad winged hawk at Caesar creek.
Probably my two “best” birds today.
