At Coyote Pt. County Park , I noted a Lewis's Woodpecker fly into a Eucalyptus Tree while on the Bay Trail below the Captain's House. The Lewis's Woodpecker took flight crossing overthe road coming into the park and over to the Poplar Creek Golf Course. I was quite surprised for a spring migrant, as most records come from the fall in the county. There has been recentsightings from the last two weeks from San Francisco, Santa Cruz County and Pt. Reyes. There has not been much of a variety in passerine migrants at the point. What has been notedare Vaux's Swifts, Wilson's Warblers, Western Tanagers and Hooded Orioles. Lazuli Bunting, I do not note often along the bay shoreline in the spring. So ( 6 ) Lazuli Buntings at the pointyesterday was a good showing.
