We found 36 species in our yard including white-throated sparrow & purple finch. Then went to Bluestone S.P. and had 13 species at the Pits, 8 at the boat launch, 40 in Meador Campground & 16 in Old Mill Campground. Highlights were killdeer with 3 babies, both yellowlegs, solitary sandpiper, 2 ospreys & redstart building a nest. Next, Mt Valley Lake - 22 species including pied-billed grebe, blue-winged teal pair & 6 spotted sandpipers. Hinton to Sandstone Falls - 33 species Highlights were double-crested cormorants, all swallows except bank & all vireos except Philadelphia. Indian Ridge/Lick Creek - 24 species. Total for the day - 80 species Sunday, we did the WV/VA border at East River Mt. Overlook/Cove Creek. Added 9 species for a weekend total of 89 species including 11 warbler species.
