Hi,
Try to note its sub-species, the FL bird, V. a. barbatulus is the most common in our area and is like a Red-eye but there are several records of V. a. altiloquus which occurs father east in the Antilles, larger bill, duller whisker and duller plumage. They could be split someday. We have a documented record of V. a. a. over this way, a specimen taken by a professional ornithologist many years ago.

Hi everyone! I got to see Marybeth Lima’s BWVI this morning in the Dauphin Island campground. She’s been hearing it for the past week or so. It seems to be spending most of its time around the playground area, but I had it in the trees to the left of the entrance right after I parked and walked in. It’s also been into the Sanctuary as well. Sang softly for 10 minutes and brief views high in an oak. Good luck to any chasers,Mason Currier
