Subject: [CT Birds] Blue-winged Warbler in Bloomfield
It was a lovely day at the bird baths in my front yard. The most exciting visitor was a new-to-me Blue-winged Warbler who got chased several times by aggressive little Chipping Sparrows. A pair, male and female, of Scarlet Tanagers also made their appearance, first time I’ve seen them this year. An Eastern Phoebe chased several birds late in the afternoon even though they seem to have abandoned their nest above my front door. There were lots of the usual denizens as well. Happy day!
