Leader's Choice trip to Warren County

Trail to Botheration Pond in Warren County on July 19. These cross-country ski trails at the upper end of Barton Mines Rd. are on the back side of Gore Mountain and have some of the more northern breeding birds in our region. Various warblers, vireos, thrushes and flycatchers are to be expected, though many will be heard only due to the thick forest habitat on most of the trail. Plan for plenty of pesky insects and a rough trail with likely muddy sections. Though the trail isn't flat, there is only moderate elevation change.
Meet at 6:30 at the Malta Med Emergent Care facility off Rte. 67 just west of Exit 12 of the Northway. We can carpool from there.
