Subject: [NHBirds] Rare Bird Alert, New Hampshire, July 14, 2025
This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Monday, July 14th,
2025.



A BRIDLED TERN was seen at the Isles of Shoals, on June 13th and again on
the 18th, and was last reported on July 7th.



A BLACK-HEADED GULL was seen at Bicentennial Park in Hampton on July 13th.



At least 4 CORY’S SHEARWATERS were seen in offshore waters during the past
week.



3 STILT SANDPIPERS and a PECTORAL SANDPIPER were seen at Meadow Pond in
Hampton on July 9th.



A WILLET was seen at Wagon Hill Farm in Durham on July 12th.



2 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS were seen at the Upper Coos Recreational Trail in
Colebrook on July 9th.



An adult LITTLE BLUE HERON was seen in the salt marsh at the end of Pollock
Drive in Rye on July 12th, and another adult was seen at Meadow Pond in
Hampton on the 13th.



A LEAST BITTERN was seen along the Upper Coos Recreational Trail in
Colebrook on July 2nd, and again on the 8th and 9th.



A BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was seen at Fields Grove City Park in Nashua on
July 10th and 11th.



There was a family of 8 BLUE-WINGED TEAL reported from Highland Lake in
Stoddard on July 14th.



A WILLOW FLYCATCHER was seen at Airport Marsh in Whitefield on July 11th.



4 RED CROSSBILLS were seen at the Philbrick-Crecenti Bog in New London on
July 11th.



2 GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS were seen at the Cemetery Fields in Amherst on July
11th.



There was an unconfirmed “heard-only” report of a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER
from 67 Tibbetts Road in Tuftonboro on July 9th.
