Some great birding on the Larkin State Park Bridle Path and the trails
behind Long Meadow Pond this weekend. Saw adult and juvenile blue-winged
warbler, adult and juvenile Eastern towhee, and a pair of juvenile Cooper’s
Hawks. Their pale irises looked almost blue in the lighting. Also saw and
heard adult male scarlet tanagers. Lots of wood thrushes still singing in
the woods as well.
