To all,
Use of a scope on a cruise ship depends on the size of the ship. So,
Sheryl, you will want to let us know about the capacity. I have been on
several naturalist cruise ships, with a passenger capacity of about 70-150
people. These ships rock too much for a scope; so -- No to that.
However, the large cruise ships -- 1000 to many thousands of passengers --
are obviously much larger and thus are stable enough for scope use. I have
not yet done a cruise yet on such a ship but will next spring. The birders
on these DO bring scopes and thus scopes are recommended.
