Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] White winged Tern on Tuesday
The White-winged Tern continues Tuesday morning on the mudflats across from the end of J Street. The usual area. It did not show up until around 6:50 a.m. For those interested and haven't been keeping track of eBird reports and other posts, the bird seems to be spending more and more time in mid and late morning over Pond 11 south of the dike off the biological study area parking lot on the south end of the Silver Strand, where it can be seen at half the distance it can from J Street, if it's cooperating. That's also where the young Black Tern has been the last few days.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
