There's been a yellow-billed cuckoo vocalizing loudly around my house for the past week, starting since the last rain we had. I love the alignment with the weather and this bird's nickname, the "rain crow". Merlin says this bird is somewhat of a rarity in this area, especially --I've read--when there is not a notable tent caterpillar outbreak.
