If the approaching hurricane continues on its projected course, the Atlantic Seaboard could be receiving strong northeast winds as the storm moves up the Gulf Stream in the Atlantic. These winds often trigger migratory species to begin their southward plunge earlier than usual, delivering stuff like Yellow Warblers along Gulf coastal areas (in particular).
August is not generally a great month for songbird migrants as far east as Florida, but occasionally it delivers good stuff. Further west, like my area of East Texas, we get much more, as the farther west one goes, the earlier most songbirds migrate in fall.
I hope all you Seminoles enjoy a resurgence of the team! 😊
