This past week I have had a confusing Oriole in my yard. I live in Santa Barbara CA and Hooded Orioles nest nearby. My original sighting was brief and I managed just three shots. https://ebird.org/checklist/S265729643 My initial ID changed wildly from Orchard to Baltimore to Scott’s. I did see the bird again a few days later and managed a bunch more photos. https://ebird.org/checklist/S267500309 This time I heard the bird calling and it sounded like a Hooded. Finally today I saw the bird again and it was feeding a young Hooded. (No photos). Any opinions on this bird are welcome.
