Subject: [NHBirds] Six Cuckoos and 16 sp. of warblers, N-to S

In a 24 hour span I birded yesterday morning in Errol (twohours) and today in Webster (three hours), recording six cuckoos and 16 speciesof warblers.

Black-billed Cuckoo-two in Errol and one in Webster.

Yellow-billed Cuckoo-ZERO in Errol and three in Webster this morning. Two were calling simultaneouslywith the Black-billed and the third bird was seen 1.5 miles away.

Warblers- Theyare gathering in flocks in Errol but still somewhat thin in Webster.

Errol highlights- 14species at two sites with one Bay-breasted, three Nashvilles, six Parulas, and fourCanadas the best. Webster- no highlights really, though it is always niceto see an Ovenbird. The Ovenbird and one Prairie were unique to Webster.

Sites- Errol- nearthe Motel and an unmarked road to Sessions’ Pond. Webster- Knight’sMeadow Marsh and the adjoining Leonard WMA.

Fun with birds- Bob Quinn
