The nighthawk migration monitoring for Concord has begun. We had 37 birds this evening, but about half the time it was misting or lightly raining.
A reminder that this effort takes place on the top level of the Capital Commons Parking Garage (75 Storrs St) and will be conducted from 5:30--7:30 pm until some time in early September. Some evenings can be an incredible spectacle, but it is not easy to predict when that might happen.
