Only had 3 common nighthawks last night but was excited to a bat. Tonight's forecast called for a thunderstorm to come our way from the NE, so we started looking ahead of the storm. We started at 6:30. The black cloud approached. We saw a prairie warbler in our birch tree. Then, ahead of the storm we counted 20 nighthawks, 2 chimney swifts, 2 red tails and 22 turkey vultures. All were moving away from the coming weather. The rain, thunder & lightning showed up at 7 and was pretty well finished by 7:30. Jim & Judy Phillips Summers County Pipestem, WV
