Calling all Hudson-Mohawk Bird Club members! The Reist Sanctuary is in urgent need of our help, and we’re asking for as many volunteers as possible to give a full or partial day. Our goals are to repair worn bridges and boardwalks, clear and close trails, and remove downed trees and debris that have taken their toll over the seasons. If you can handle a drill, pry bar, pole saw, chainsaw—or simply help carry lumber—we need you! We’ll meet at the Kelly Adirondack Center, where restrooms, coffee, drinks, and light snacks will be available. Please let us know if you can attend, or leave a comment/message—this will really help us plan. Thank you!

Fall Migrants at Albany Pine Bush Preserve

Come explore the Karner Barrens East unit of Albany Pine Bush Preserve, via the "yellow" perimeter trail, and "blue" dune overlook trail. We will be looking for warblers, vireos, and flycatchers. The dune overlook trail has a moderate climb and descent. This is approximately a three-mile loop. Take proper precautions to avoid ticks.
Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center parking lot, located at 195 New Karner Rd. (Rt. 155) in Albany.
