The Northern Waterthrush continued today.
It was heard and seen fleetingly in dense brush along the second pool north
of the parking circle (the creek is dried up between the first and second
pools). It was roughly at (37.9091966, -122.2656471). I didn’t find it on
my first attempt at 9:30am, but was successful after hanging out by the
east bank of the creek at around noon. It was very skulky. After a brief
appearance, it moved downstream, calling.
