Tobin and all,
Simply amazing August achievement. Deeply impressed with the effort to
get the correct id on the Flycatcher. The interaction/discussion between
you and Keegan and drawing top birders into the conversation was not only
impressive but extremely informative. Though Flycatcher and Gulls present
great difficulty for me, the sum total of the interactions
surrounding the various flycatcher species brought home to me how little I
really knew about this group of birds.
I forgot to ask you for the name of the Flycatcher Field guide, all
though I would have to admit that it would be interesting but that I would
likely not remember all the details without constant visual reference to
the "Field Guide" and then still be unsure. Thanks for the great birding
adventure Aug 29-31st.
