Central Park, Manhattan, N.Y. City - Monday, October 20th -

A minimum of 15 migratory warblers of the American hemisphere were found in Central Park on Monday, Oct. 20th, as seen and many photographed by many many dozens of birders. Among these many species were at least two Northern Waterthrushes, as well as other warbler species in the multiple, with the most numerous warbler species being Palm and Myrtle-form of Yellow-rumped Warblers. At least 9 Wood Ducks and at least 11 Green-winged Teals continued for Monday, and most waterfowl of the park has either remained stable in numbers or increased somewhat. Some additional waterfowl arrival looks likely in the coming week - or perhaps sooner. Ruby-throated Hummingbird movement is not quite done here, with one of that species showing at the
Shakespeare Garden of Central Park on Monday.

Thanks to so many quiet, courteous, keen observers and photographers all in support of or leading and-or participating in some guided bird walks for not-for-profit institutions and organizations, which promote sound science, conservation, education, and natural diversity among their ideals, with alerts and sightings from only non-x apps as well as via eBird with the Macaulay Library for media archives in both visual and auditory form.

Good birding,

Tom Fiore
