Subject: [labird] Baton Rouge Audubon Oct program 10/29 7pm eBird & Merlin
Baton Rouge Audubon's October program will be an overview of the Merlin and
eBird apps. Jane Patterson will be presenting at the main Goodwood library
in Baton Rouge. We'll have social (half) hour at 6:30pm and the program
will start at 7pm. If you wish to participate via Zoom, please register in
advance:

This program is designed for beginners and folks that have tried to use the
apps and been frustrated by something. It's best if you have a basic
familiarity with Merlin and eBird prior to the program so you know what
questions you'd like to ask. Both the Merlin and eBird apps are free from
Cornell, but you do have to create an account with Cornell. After
installing the app, you will also install a "bird pack" that is appropriate
to our area (Louisiana or Southeast United States). It's also suggested
that you review the eBird Essentials course for a tutorial before this
program.

Hope to see you then!
