Subject: [sbcobirding] Update on Gray Catbird
Seen by several birders midmorning today, in the clump of shrubbery and trees separating the west side of the Stowe House lawn from the Train Museum property.  From there it flew across the lawn to where there is a large clump of Sword ferns, into which it disappeared.  Seen again a little after 11 am in the same area.  Bird calls a lot when it is active, but it does tend to stay in the shrubbery.
I spent some time waiting for Lewis's Woodpeckers to show up but had no appearances near the dead snags where they have been reported.
