Pacific Golden-Plover (Pluvialis fulva) (1)
- Reported Oct 21, 2025 16:15 by Pair of Wing-Nuts
- Old Creek--Cayucos, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-120.8875608&<ll...>,-120.8875608 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S280783603 - Media: 7 Photos
- Comments: "Continuing juvenile bird (Tom Edell, 10/20/25) was first observed on beach about 300 yards south of creek mouth being relentlessly harassed by lone Heerman's Gull - thanks to Ann Stockert for location alert earlier this afternoon. After Heerman's Gull eventually chased this bird from the beach, the plover flew to narrow strip of water in front of row of houses above sea-walls where it actively feed during our visit. This bird's crown was streaked creamy white, brown and yellow and it had a pronounced whitish supercilium that was conspicuous even at considerable distance, a well defined ear-spot, pale, unstreaked throat with dark band at top of darker brown patterned breast. The bird was paler below with light grayish-brown, blurry patterning on sides and flanks. The center of the back was mostly dark brown patterned with distinct yellow flecks while the sides of the upper back were lighter grayish-brown patterned."

Blackburnian Warbler (Setophaga fusca) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Oct 21, 2025 08:25 by Nick & Jane
- Meadow Park--San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo, California

- Comments: "First park record of this species! Large warbler resembling a Townsend’s, though more golden-orange in its coloration, especially on throat. Also: a black-and-white striped back, as well as a trangular olive-brown cheek patch. The underside was white except for its yellowy breast and dark flank streaking, which was finer in streaks than a Townsy. The crown was darkish, the eyeline was black, and supercilium yellow. Double-white wingbars. Very cooperative bird that would let me get close while it foraged low in a sycamore (I think). It eventually moved higher up. Was in mixed flock with black-and-white warbler and two other warbler species. Vid: https://bsky.app/profile/nicholasbelardes.bsky.social/post/3m3qf5npwhc2r"
