First of year anyway here over my property - fully-feathered Turkey Vulture circling around. The local Red-tailed Hawk has just joined it, a much smaller bird. Very few birds at feeders today. Last night, Barred Owl heard calling, first time since late Fall. And Chipmunks are chasing each other over the snow - they've also been house-cleaning - I've seen leaves and pine needles shooting out of the snow! Life is stirring!
