I love birding! One never knows the rarities that will show up! And that includes
Early date wise. Orchard Oriole wasn’t on my radar. Three weeks early! Newtown
Gravel. Of course I was bemoaning my lack of Common loon. I would have traded
The oriole for a loon! But then wait - the oriole is a March bird for me! I like monthly
Listing. All is ok again…..
Lots of activity and singing today! Picked up L. Waterthrush and a March Parula!
I don’t think that’s too early though.
Botany notes - California Woods was popping! Trilliums. I love Trilliums.
Butterfly notes - Tiger Swallowtail! Spring Azures, anglewings, etc. etc.
and a Duskywing that I need to study my pic and decide which one.
Good birding all! Birds are coming!
And leaving - the Eurasian Wigeon was a one day wonder.
