Subject: Orange Crowned Warbler
This afternoon at Shirley Seabaugh's house I watched for a couple of
minutes a warbler hopping from branch to branch in oaks. This bird had none
of the markings of a yellow rump. It had an overall yellowish wash and
faint eye ring which leads me to think this was an orange crowned. I know
that orange crowns can overwinter in Mississippi. This was in Jefferson
City. Also had good looks there at a brown creeper.
